Welcome to the Center for Transgender Health’s new blog, Affirm. When we first opened our doors three years ago, we never imagined how many wonderful people we would have the opportunity to meet in so short a time. In just three years, we have been fortunate enough to connect more than 2,000 people with the world-class care Johns Hopkins is known for. We have partnered with more than 50 colleagues across 14 departments to fulfill our commitment to provide every patient with top quality care — and we are just getting started.
We hope this blog will be another way to connect with our patients and the community. The content will focus on health topics, information related to your health care, and news and updates from our team. We have a variety of great articles and material in the works over the coming months, and we hope you will check back with us regularly to get the latest news and information.
We also hope this will serve as a way to communicate important content to a larger audience. On the right side of this page, you will see links organized by category, as well as key links such as the center’s homepage — we invite you to take a look around our recently updated website. The patient resources section has been revamped, and we are adding material on the patient process to serve as a reference.
We hope this will allow us to broaden our educational mission and connect with our patients outside the clinical environment.
